WD2002: Text in E-mail Is Not Changed into a Hyperlink (292079)

SYMPTOMS

When you type an Internet address (a Universal Resource Locator or URL) or an e-mail address in an e-mail message and then send that message, the text does not appear as a hyperlink when received.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur in the following situation:
  • You configure Microsoft Outlook 2002 to use Microsoft Word as its e-mail editor. -and-
  • You do not press SPACEBAR or ENTER after typing the hyperlink text.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, press SPACEBAR or ENTER after typing a hyperlink.
