XIMS: SMTP Proxy Addresses Are Deleted for All Users (291842)

In Exchange System Manager, under the Recipients Policies container, if you click to clear the secondary proxy address check box in Default Policy, all SMTP proxy addresses are removed from all users.
CAUSE
This problem can occur if Exchange System Manager incorrectly stamps the Recipient Update Service object with "smtp: ", which then triggers the System Attendant service to delete all of the addresses of that type. This also removes the primary SMTP address.
