CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the RegistryCleaner program, a component of Fix-It Utilities 2000 and the SystemSuite 2000, published by OnTrack Corporation, removed time zone information from your Microsoft Windows registry.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, run the Undo function in RegistryCleaner.

This behavior occurs when you run the RegistryCleaner (Fix-It) program and choose to remove the unused time zones. You can click the drop-down box and view what time zones are going to be removed. Note that your time zone is listed for deletion even though it is in use.

The following registry key is what remains:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Time Zones

This following is the value of the remaining registry key:

(Default) "Pacific Standard Time"

Additionally, if you click Control Panel, click Date and Time, and then click the Time Zone tab, you may receive the following error message:
An error occurred while Windows was working with the Control Panel file <windir>\system\timedate.cpl
