Picture Tasks Options and Filmstrip View Not Available on a CD-RW Drive (291560)

SYMPTOMS

The Picture Tasks options in the Web View pane (View as a Slide Show and Print pictures) and the Filmstrip view may not be available for picture files on a CD that is in a CD-RW drive or a DVD-RW drive.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, insert the compact disc into a standard CD-ROM drive, or copy its contents to a folder on the computer's hard disk.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
