MORE INFORMATION

A coordinator at the workspace level configures and manages workspace and dashboard site components to support the needs of the workgroup. You can modify workspace settings only if you are assigned the coordinator role.

You can use a Windows NT 4.0-, Windows 98-, and Windows 2000-based client computer that has SharePoint Portal Server client installed to perform management tasks. However, you cannot perform some tasks using a Windows 98- or Windows NT 4.0-based client. You must use a Windows 2000-based client that has SharePoint Portal Server client components installed to perform the following management tasks:
  • Create and manage the content source
  • Set security on workspace files and folders
  • Change a standard folder to an enhanced folder
  • Configure approval on enhanced folders
However, you are not able to perform the following tasks when you use a Windows 98- and Windows NT 4.0-based client:
  • Drag columns in the Web folders detailed views
  • Access Help in Web folders by pressing the F1 key
