FIX: SERVERPROPERTY Returns Incorrect Value for LICENSETYPE (291332)

SYMPTOMS

When you run Microsoft SQL Server 2000 in per processor mode, the SERVERPROPERTY function returns a value of "DISABLED" when it ought to return "PER_PROCESSOR". The NumLicenses argument also returns a value of "NULL" in this mode.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the SQL Server 2000 licensing applet located in Control Panel to confirm the current licensing mode.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2.
