The handwriting correction feature is available in the Simplified Chinese-language, Traditional Chinese-language, English-language, Japanese-language, and Korean-language versions of Microsoft Office XP. If Microsoft Word is enabled as your e-mail editor and you have installed the handwriting recognition for Microsoft Outlook, you can use this feature in Outlook 2002.

How to Correct Handwriting in Outlook 2002

The following steps describe how to correct handwriting in an Outlook message:
  1. Click the Options button on the rightmost side of the Language Bar.
  2. Click Correction to add it to the Language Bar.
  3. Click the handwritten word that you want to correct.
  4. Click Correction on the Language Bar.
  5. Click the correct word when the menu appears that provides you with a list of alternative words.
The corrected handwriting is entered as typed text.

You can also correct handwritten text by clicking the word, and then writing or typing the correction. The Correction tab is available on both the Writing Pad toolbar and the Write Anywhere toolbar.
