SYMPTOMS
When you start Microsoft Outlook Mobile Manager and configure your server information in the Connector dialog box, the Outlook Mobile Manager icon in the system tray may start to flash, indicating that there is an issue with the connection or the configuration. The following error message may be logged in the troubleshooting log:
Win32 error 0x2ee7 occurred.
When you click the error message, the following information is displayed:
The connector to the Mobile Information Server could not contact the server and a message could not be sent. The message will be retried automatically.
CAUSE
This issue can occur in either of the following scenarios:
- The Mobile Information Server computer is currently down or unavailable.
- You entered an incorrect server name.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue confirm that the Mobile Information Server computer that you want to connect to is running and has not been stopped. If you confirm that this server is available, start Mobile Information Server, click My Device, click Connector, and then confirm that you typed the configuration information correctly.
