The Packaging Wizard deletes the target folder when you cancel packaging (291033)

SYMPTOMS

The folder that you created to store your package is deleted.

CAUSE

You clicked Cancel during the packaging of an application.

MORE INFORMATION

The behavior in the "Symptoms" section of this article occurs only if the folder is empty. The Packaging Wizard deletes the folder only if there are no other files in the folder.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Create a new folder on your hard disk.
  2. Start the Packaging Wizard.
  3. Create a package and point to the location of the new folder as the place to save the packaged application.
  4. Click Cancel while the package is being created.
  5. Click Yes to all the cancellation prompts.
Note that the new folder that you created is deleted.
