This article describes how to manually delete the Microsoft Mobile Information Server push notification bindings from a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server user mailbox.

To manually delete a push notification binding:
  1. Log on to a server or workstation that has a MAPI client installed as a user that has full permissions to the user's mailbox.
  2. Create a new profile and configure it to access the user's mailbox.
  3. Start Mdbvu32.exe.
  4. Click OK to initiate a MAPI session, and then click the profile that you created in step two.
  5. On the MDB menu, click OpenMessageStore.
  6. Click Mailbox - username, and then click Open.
  7. On the MDB menu, click Open IPM Subtree.
  8. Double-click Mobile Inbox in the Child Folders list.
  9. Click WirelessOnSave in the Associated Messages in Fld section.
  10. In the Operations Available section, click lpFld->DeleteMessages(), and then click Call Function.
  11. Click OK, and then confirm that the WirelessOnSave message was deleted.
  12. Quit Mdbvu32.exe.
To remove the bindings from the Calendar, Tasks or Contacts folder, click the appropriate folder, and then repeat steps nine to eleven of the procedure that is described in this section. To re-create the binding, the user must repersonalize the device.
