A User Cannot Have Multiple Devices with the Same Description (290878)

SYMPTOMS

When you provision a user with a device for Mobile Information Server, if you attempt to create multiple devices for a user with the same description, you receive the following error message:
This description is already in use. Please choose a unique description for this device.

WORKAROUND

Use a different device description for each device configured for the user.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
