SYMPTOMS

You cannot transfer data warehouse databases to an alternate or test system.

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:

Install an alternate data warehouse system, create a new SQL database, and then import all of the required data.
Because you can back up SQL databases, replace and restore the data warehouse system if necessary.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Commerce Server 2000.
