Queued Component Causes Access Violation (290648)

A queued component that is installed as an event class may cause an access violation after you install the following rollup hotfix:
282896 INFO: Post Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 COM+ Rollup Hotfix 7 Is Available
When this occurs, you may see the following error message:
An error occurred while processing the last operation. Error code 80080005 - Server execution failed The event log may contain additional troubleshooting information.
Or, the event log may contain the following entry with COM+ as the source:
The system has called a custom component and that component has failed and generated an exception. This indicates a problem with the custom component. Notify the developer of this component that a failure has occurred and provide them with the information below.

CAUSE
This problem occurs because memory that is used while marshalling parameters is freed twice, corrupting the heap and subsequently causing access violations.
RESOLUTION
The fix was made after COM+ build version 2000.2.3475.
