FIX: DTCSetup.exe Version That Ships with COM+ Rollup 3 Is Not Installed (290506)

SYMPTOMS

The COM+ rollup hotfix 3 (which is available from the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 275455) includes a new version of the DTCSetup.exe file. However, due to an incorrect version on the file, the hotfix manager does not install it.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
