Cannot Use NetIQ AppManager 4.0 Knowledge Modules or Knowledge Scripts with MOM 2000 (290338)

SYMPTOMS

NetIQ AppManager version 4.0 knowledge modules or knowledge scripts do not run on Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2000.

CAUSE

The NetIQ AppManager version 4.0 program uses knowledge scripts and knowledge modules to monitor programs. While these scripts may seem similar to management packs in MOM 2000, they are not, and you cannot import them for use with MOM 2000.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
