Supported configurations

The following are supported configurations of Microsoft Office XP and Microsoft Windows:
  • English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office XP installed on an English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows.
  • English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office XP installed on a non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows.
  • Non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office XP installed on the same non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows.
  • English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office XP plus MUI installed on the English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows plus the same MUI language.
  • Non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office 2003 installed on the English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows with Windows MUI, where the language version of the Windows MUI matches the language version of Microsoft Office.

Unsupported configurations

The following are not supported configurations of Microsoft Office XP and Microsoft Windows:
  • Non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office XP installed on any other non-matching language version of Windows.
  • English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office XP with a Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Pack installed on a localized version of Windows where the MUI configuration does not match the language version of Windows.
  • For languages without a localized version of Microsoft Windows, a localized version of Microsoft Office XP installed on an English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows with correctly set regional settings and system locale is the supported platform.
  • Office plus MUI installed on a language version of Windows where the language version of Windows does not match the language version of the Office MUI.
  • Non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office installed on Windows Plus MUI where the language version of the Windows MUI does not match the language version Office.
