  • Microsoft Outlook 2002

This article was previously published under Q290041

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2002, some folders on an Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) server may not show up in the Outlook 2002 folder list.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the upgrade process sets the configuration option to show only subscribed IMAP folders.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, manually change the display option:
  1. In the Folder List, click an IMAP folder.
  2. On the Tools menu, click IMAP folders.
  3. Click to clear the When displaying hierarchy in Outlook, show only subscribed folders check box, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
