OL2002: Bulleted Items Become Numbered in Message from Drafts Folder (290040)

SYMPTOMS

When you go to the Drafts folder and open a message that includes bulleted items, the bullets change to numbers.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you use Microsoft Word as the e-mail editor when you compose a message in Rich Text Format but do not use Word when you view the message.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use Word as the e-mail editor when you view the message:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click Mail Format, click to select the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box, and then click OK.
  3. Reopen the message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
