OL2002: New Mail Icon Appears Though E-mail Rule Deletes Unwanted Message (290030)

SYMPTOMS

Although you set up a rule that deletes a specified e-mail message as it arrives, a New Mail icon still appears on the taskbar.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because rules act on a message after the message arrives in the Inbox, when the New Mail icon is already generated.
