OL2002: Outlook 2002 Saves Forwarded Message Even If You Do Not Select That Option (290008)

SYMPTOMS

When you forward an Outlook message, Outlook saves the message without your selecting the Save forwarded messages check box.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Outlook 2002 is installed with a transform file created by the Custom Installation Wizard (CIW).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, click to clear the Save forwarded messages check box:
  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click E-mail Options.
  3. Click Advanced E-mail Options.
  4. Click to clear the Save forwarded messages check box.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
