OL2002: Computer Hangs When You Use "Send To" and "Mail Recipient" from a File on the Desktop (289997)

SYMPTOMS

When Outlook is configured for working offline and you right-click a file on the desktop and click Send To and Mail Recipient, the computer may stop responding (hang) after you then click Send.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, restart the computer, restart Outlook, open a new e-mail message, and then insert the file as an attachment.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
