A change to delegate permissions does not take effect immediately in Outlook 2002 (289992)

This article was previously published under Q289992 SYMPTOMS When you remove a delegate's permission to see private
items, for example appointments, the delegate can still see the private items.
Conversely, if you grant such permissions to a delegate who lacks them, the
delegate cannot immediately see the private items. CAUSE This issue can occur because the change in permissions does
not take effect until the Outlook session that is running on the delegate's
computer is restarted. WORKAROUND To work around this behavior, have the delegate quit
Outlook and then restart it. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
