OL2002: Internet Address E-mail Type Not Available After Upgrade (289990)

SYMPTOMS

When a profile contains an Internet e-mail account and a personal address book (PAB), the Internet Address e-mail type does not appear as an option when you add a new entry to the PAB.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, create a new entry by using Other Address as the entry type and SMTP as the e-mail type:
  1. Start Outlook, click Tools, and then click Address Book.
  2. Click New Entry.
  3. Under Put this entry in the, click Personal Address Book.
  4. Click Other Address under Select the entry type, and then click OK.
  5. Fill in the display name and e-mail address for the new contact, and then, under E-mail Type, click SMTP.
