OL2002: Reminders Window in Outlook Is Not Active When It Appears (289970)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2002

This article was previously published under Q289970

SYMPTOMS

When you are working in Outlook and the Reminders window appears, the window is displayed as inactive. The Outlook application or the item you are working on continues to be the active window. This behavior occurs whether the Reminder window appears because a reminder runs or because you click Reminders Window on the View menu.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, either click in the Reminders window to make it active, or press ALT+TAB to move to it.

MORE INFORMATION

The visual focus remains on what you are working on, rather than moving to the Reminders window, to prevent your accidentally dismissing or "snoozing" reminders or canceling the window while you are typing an e-mail message or manipulating items in the Outlook Explorer window.
