OL2002: Read Receipts Are Blank When You Open Them (289935)

SYMPTOMS

When you open a read receipt, the body is blank or empty. However, you can see the body text in the Preview pane.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because you applied a digital signature to your original message and you have the Preview pane turned on.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, turn off the Preview pane. To turn off the Preview pane, click Preview Pane on the View menu. This menu item is a toggle key and will either turn on the Preview pane or turn it off depending upon its current state.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
