Windows Media Player 7 Full-Screen Mode Does Not Function Properly with Oblong LCD Screen (289711)

When you attempt to play video on an oblong LCD screen (for example, with a resolution of 1024 X 480), Full-Screen mode may not function properly. Clips cannot be scaled to fill the entire screen; the top and bottom of the clip may be cut off.
WORKAROUND
Use Windows Media Player 6.4 to view videos in Full-Screen mode with this type of screen and resolution. To run Windows Media Player 6.4, click Start, click Run, type mplayer2, and then click OK.
