DNS Server System Monitor Counters Are Disabled After DNS Service Restart (289709)

SYMPTOMS

The DNS Server System Monitor counters are disabled after you stop and restart the DNS service.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the DNS service is restarted without rebooting the server.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
