Subject Name in Task Is Not Truncated in Outlook Mobile Access (289567)

SYMPTOMS

When you use Outlook Mobile Access to view a task that has a very large subject name (between 120-160 characters long), the subject name does not get truncated, and it may fill the entire screen on your device.

When this issue occurs, you are unable to view other information in the task, including completion percentage, or the body of the task.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Outlook Mobile Access does not truncate the subject name in Tasks like it does in Mail and Calendar.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use short subject names in Tasks if you want to view them with Outlook Mobile Access.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
