The following issues may occur when a profile is loaded or unloaded on a computer that is running Windows 2000 Terminal Services:
- After a Terminal Services client logs off, the HKEY_USERS\SID_Classes registry key may remain in the registry, the user may not be able to log on, and the following message may be logged in the Userenv log file (where S-1-5-21-2064005854-1184893843-5522801-77863 is the user's SID):
Failed to load subkey S-1-5-21-2064005854-1184893843-5522801-77863_Classes, error =5
- The computer may not be able to unload a user profile because of a handle leak to the DevModePerUser registry key. The following text may be logged in the Userenv log file:
2:USERENV(6c0.738) 08:52:28:656 MyRegUnLoadKey: Windows was not able to unload the registry hive.
2:USERENV(6c0.738) 08:52:28:703 MyRegUnLoadKey: Failed to unmount hive 5
