  • Microsoft FrontPage 2002

This article was previously published under Q289310

SYMPTOMS

When you use a FrontPage 2002 file upload form to upload a file to a web based on SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft, the file is uploaded into the root web.

By default, the root web is created in the following location:

C:\InetPub\wwwroot

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you do not specify a destination parameter when you create the file upload form.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, specify the destination parameter for your File Upload form. To create a sample page, follow these steps:
  1. Start FrontPage 2002, and then open the SharePoint team Web site.
  2. Add a new folder in the root folder to store uploaded files, for example, FileUploads.
  3. Follow these steps to create a new file upload form:
    1. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Page or Web.
    2. Point to Form on the Insert menu, and then click File Upload.
  4. Right-click the form, and then click Form Properties.
  5. Click Options, and then click the File Upload tab.
  6. For the destination, click Browse, and then locate the destination folder for your uploaded files. For example, you could use the FileUploads folder from earlier.
  7. Click OK twice.
  8. Save the page to your web.
