XFOR: Unable to Run the Calendar Connector Setup Program (289266)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q289266 SYMPTOMS
When you run Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 1 (SP1) Update.exe, you may not be able to run the Calendar Connector Setup program.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you do not have the appropriate permissions. When you run Exchange 2000 Server SP1 Update.exe, you do not need Schema Administrator permissions. Exchange 2000 SP1 does not change the schema. However, the Calendar Connector (Calcon.exe) has its own Setup program that is found in the Calcon\I386 folder in the service pack folder structure. To run Calendar Connector Setup, you must have Schema Administrator permissions. Schema Administrator permissions are required only the first time you run Calendar Connector Setup in the Exchange 2000 organization. You need Exchange Administrator and local Administrator permissions for all subsequent Calendar Connector installations.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the
