"Parameter Is Incorrect" Error Message After You View NetWare Services Tab of User's Properties (289219)

SYMPTOMS

When you are viewing a user's properties under Local Users and Groups, if you click the NetWare Services tab and then click OK without making any changes, you receive the following error message:

The following error occurred while attempting to save properties for user username: The parameter is incorrect.

This occurs on a stand-alone server that has File and Print Services for NetWare (FPNW) installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
