Explorer.exe Generates Errors During Search on Remote Computer That Has No Shared Folders (289188)

When you perform a search of a Windows 2000-based computer that does not have any shared folders, working across a Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Network (WAN), the desktop of the Windows 2000-based computer where you are working may stop responding. The following error message appears:
Program Error
explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.
After you click OK, the computer restarts, and then the following event appears in the Application log of Event Viewer:
