SYMPTOMS

After you delete or create derived classes to which Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)-based management programs subscribe, there may be no events generated and you are unable to monitor, diagnose, or troubleshoot system issues.

This behavior can occur on WMI-based programs such as HealthMon, system management software, and AppCenter.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.
