When you install a Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)-enabled program on a computer that is running Windows 2000 Server, no events may be generated.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the WMI management tool that you installed reinstalls the WMI schema.

To resolve this behavior, restart the Windows 2000 Server-based computer.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.
