SYMPTOMS

When you delete a user by means of the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in in Microsoft Management Console (MMC) and then remove the snap-in, an access violation occurs if you add the snap-in again to delete another user.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Windows 2000 does not handle the removal of the snap-in correctly.

RESOLUTION
