When you are establishing a network connection to a system area network (SAN) by using a connection that is defined in Network Connections Manager, you may receive the following error message:
Fatal System Error: 0x0000000a (0x00000050,0x00000002,0x00000001,0x8006542A)
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when an access violation in the Msafd.dll file occurs. Upon completion of network connection, Msafd.dll does not set the Shared Socket Context. When a different process tries to import the socket, Windows 2000 does not identify that connection as over a SAN. The process proceeds as if connection is over TCP/IP, and this eventually leads to the access violation. This can happen when duplication of a socket is on the connecting side.
