PUB2002: Numbered Lists Are Not Aligned Correctly When Displayed in a Web Page (289078)

SYMPTOMS

Numbered lists in Microsoft Publisher may be misaligned when published in a Web page or previewed in Web Page Preview.

WORKAROUND

To ensure that the list is aligned in the browser, create a table, and then manually number the list. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Table menu, point to Insert, and then click Table.
  2. Enter the number of rows that you want for the list in the Number of rows box.
  3. Enter 2 in the Number of columns box.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Type the list of items (one item in each cell) in the right column.
  6. Type the list numbers in the left column.
  7. On the File menu, click Web Page Preview.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
