This article was previously published under Q289027 SYMPTOMS
When you insert a rectangle or a text box into a Microsoft Publisher publication, the width of the object's borders appears to change when the rectangle or text box is moved to different positions within the publication.
The behavior does not affect the appearance of the printed publication.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:
- At least one line segment of the rectangle or text box is formatted as a different color or style than the rest of the line segments.
- The Zoom setting on the standard toolbar is set to 150%.
This behavior is a screen illusion; the publication is printed normally.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, set Zoom on the standard toolbar to any other setting, for example, 100% or 200%.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
