FIX: Access Violation in Ole32.dll at ole32!CCtxCall__~CCtxCall (288888)

SYMPTOMS

When you use COM+ components, an access violation (AV) may occur in the Ole32.dll file. The access violation occurs in ole32!CCtxCall__~CCtxCall. This problem does not occur in Microsoft Transaction Server.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The fix is included after COM+ version 2000.2.3475.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 3.
