Effect: If this is a cluster member, synchronization with the cluster controller will not continue until this problem is fixed. The rest of the cluster is not affected by this problem. If this is the cluster controller, no synchronization will happen on the cluster until this problem is fixed.

Possible Causes and Solutions

WMI restarted: Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) was restarted. Information derived from WMI was lost.

Disbanding the cluster: The cluster was manually disbanded during the synchronization session.

Configuration store (metabase) corrupt: The store that Application Center uses for configuration data is corrupted or unavailable. Restart the IIS Admin service by using the Services utility in Administrative Tools. If this problem persists, contact your support personnel.
