Visio2002: Error Message Accessing the UML Add-in from Visual Basic 6 (288659)

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Microsoft Visio UML add-in toolbar button from Microsoft Visual Basic 6, you may receive the following error message:

Visio 2002 UML Visual Basic Addin could not be loaded. Remove it from the list of available addins?

CAUSE

The add-in cannot be loaded because certain settings have been modified. This behavior occurs when the Visio 2000 UML add-in is also on your system, or when you start Visio 2000 from Visual C++, before you attempt to load the Visio 2002 UML add-in.

When Visio 2000 is run before Visual Basic attempts to load the Visio 2002 UML add-in, the UML add-in cannot be loaded, because certain settings are modified.
