SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade your computer from Microsoft Windows 98 to Windows 2000 Professional, and then press the Windows key+U, the Utility Manager tool does not start.

CAUSE

This problem can occur because the appropriate shortcut had not been enabled in Accessibility Options prior to the upgrade. This action disabled the key combination, Windows key+U, as a shortcut for the Utility Manager tool.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
