Effect: Logging for these specific events to the Application Center log will not be available on this computer. A subset of events will still be written to the Windows Event Log. This failure does not affect event logging on other cluster members, but the events for this computer will not be available to the cluster controller until this situation is fixed.
Possible Causes and SolutionsDatabase not running: The Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine might not be running. To verify this: click Start, point to Programs, point to MSDE, and then click Service Manager. There might also be an indicator in the taskbar tray.
Database Engine settings are missing or wrong: The SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine settings for the log agent are either missing or wrong.
