XL2002: Only Charts in the Visible Area of a Sheet Are Sent Through E-mail (288615)

SYMPTOMS

In Excel, when you send an entire sheet as the body of an e-mail, and the sheet has multiple charts or drawing objects embedded in it, some of the charts or objects may not be included in the e-mail.

CAUSE

This problem can occur when the following conditions are true:
  • There are charts outside of the viewable area of the screen.

    -and-
  • There is no data to the right of or below the charts.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use either of the following methods:
  • Add data below and to the right of the lowermost and rightmost charts.

    -or-
  • Send the sheet or the file as an attachment.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
