Meaning: Application Center could not form an HTTP connection to the remote server.

Effect: The task cannot be completed until the connection can be formed.

Possible Causes and Solutions

Network failure: There was an intermittent or prolonged network failure.

Remote server unavailable: Either the remote server is no longer on the network, it has been renamed, or it is malfunctioning.

Web service down: The Web service on either the local or remote computer is not operating. Restart or start the Web service and then try the task again.

Proxy setting: Settings on the proxy server or other firewall can cause a failed HTTP connection. Verify that the proxy server settings will allow HTTP connections to the remote server.

Web service setting: Make sure that the correct port is being for the HTTP connection.
