Meaning: The online status of the member displayed in the snap-in could not be updated.
Effect: The online status of the member displayed in the snap-in might be inaccurate. Possible Causes and SolutionsStopped services: One or more of the services that Application Center depends upon has stopped. Check the following services by using the Services utility in Control Panel:
- Application Center Synchronization
- Application Center Cluster
- Application Center Log Query Helper
- Application Center Name Resolution
- IIS Admin
- Remote Procedure Call
- Windows Management Instrumentation
Network failure: A network failure ended the connection between the controller and the cluster member.
Wrong parameter: The (command line) parameter passed to AC.exe is incorrect.
To check the parameters:
- Open the Health Monitor snap-in, and then click Actions.
- Click Bring Server Online.
- Open the property sheets, and then check the parameter. The parameter should be online 1 0.
- Also check the same property for Take Server Offline. The parameter should be online 0 0.
Other Solutions (listed in order of preference):- Set the member online by using the snap-in or by running AC.exe.
- Restart the other computer.
- Restart the cluster controller.
- Use the Support Online link in the Events view.
