The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q288418 SYMPTOMS
When a mailbox-enabled account in Exchange 2000 has a rule that first forwards an incoming e-mail message to another user, and then deletes that message, if the forward part of the rule does not work because of message size limitations, the delete rule still works, causing the mail loss.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
