When you use Regsvr32.exe to register .dll files, you cannot use the /c switch on Windows XP-based or Windows 2000-based computers. On Windows 98-based or Windows NT 4.0-based computers, you can use the /c switch to send output from Regsvr32.exe to the console.
For example, you can use the following command line on a Windows 98-based computer to register the Urlmon.dll file and send the output (success or failure) to C:\Regout.txt: start regsvr32 /c urlmon.dll >c:\regout.txt STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this functionality is no longer included with Regsvr32.exe in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
