BUG: Send Daemon Stops Responding When Recipient Domain Name Contains More Than 255 Characters (288365)

SYMPTOMS

If the Send Daemon processes a job in which at least one of the recipients has an address where the domain part of the address contains more than 255 characters, the Send Daemon stops responding.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. For information about how to obtain this fix, contact your Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Microsoft Mobile Solutions Center nearest to you.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in ICSA 3.5 Server.

MORE INFORMATION

This is not an issue in ICSA 2000 Server.
